Synopsis of Unforgettable

Set in Fukuoka Prefecture, this is the story of two brothers, Shinji and his older brother Kyosuke.

Kyosuke is serving time in prison. Shinji’s life has been deeply affected by his brother’s crime. The two have lived together since Shinji was in middle school, and they shared a close bond—Kyosuke was like a parent to him.

The film follows their struggles and the choices they make as they try to navigate their future. As Kyosuke’s release from prison approaches, Shinji is torn over what kind of relationship he should have with his brother.

With his fiancée drifting away, his mother having cut ties with Kyosuke, people who knew his brother’s past, and the truth behind the crime emerging, Shinji gradually comes to realize a connection of the heart that goes beyond his own will.
